HOW YOU WANT AND WHEN YOU WANT.

One handed backhand: amplitude of the non-dominant arm

Correct use of the non dominant arm, during preparation, is definitely crucial in order to acquire an advantage in the following parts of the movement.

In this exercise I will help you to perceive this action which means guiding the backward movement of the racket by lifting the elbow, therefore creating the right level of accumulation of energy to be discharged onto the ball.

In this very important phase, the racket arm should have very little pressure on the handle, favouring de-contraction and subsequent agility in freeing the accelerating energy.

This type of preparation also allows for easier management of the inward balls at a high trajectory, as the head of the racket will always be in a position to fall vertically during acceleration and increasing in this way the swing speed.
