Forehand backwards and forehand forwards
It is very important to adopt different techniques according to your tactical condition, because every variable requires new adaptations in terms of trajectories of the ball and therefore balance in shots.
In this video I will teach you the specific technique to be adopted in order to complete a forehand backwards and forehand forwards and which tactical value should be given to the shot.
In a more intuitive manner you will understand that the choice is due to the type of ball received. If you have the chance to gain space on the court, according to the shot of your opponent or in the case of a less complex ball, it will be useful to move forward and provide horizontality to the movement of the racket.
These types of games are mainly aimed at taking over the exchange in order to search for the right angles and create openings on the court through which points can be subsequently achieved.
If, on the contrary, the shot is deep and complex, it will be best to choose to provide a more vertical push to the forearm and hand. In order to do this, you should create space by stepping backwards with your rear foot, feel a good load and allow the ball to reach a position slightly behind your body, in this way it will be natural to accelerate the body and raise the rear leg from the ground, in balance on your rear leg until the final phase.
This type of game is very profitable as it allows you to maintain control of the exchange without losing any advantage on the court. By virtue of the trajectory in top spin that you will play, your opponent will be obliged to stay back and begin the construction of the exchange, giving you the chance to organise the waiting stage of the next ball.
